From First Presbyterian Church
FPC is Collecting Freezer Meals
We have a couple of families in need of meals, so we are beginning to collect freezer meals here at the church and will distribute them to the families in need. At this time we could use meals for a family of two. Thank you in advance!
SLHS Football Breakfasts
Again this year, First Presbyterian Church will be hosting breakfast and team devotionals on varsity game days. This has been a great experience for us and we are thankful for the opportunity to welcome the team. The numbers have grown steadily and we are regularly serving about 75 young men at each meal. In order to keep up with the demand, we need your help. This can involve donating food, cooking, serving, or coordinating volunteers. If you are interested in being a part of a breakfast team, please call 336-1649, check the sign up sheet in the narthex, or check our website.
Greeter/Usher (s) Needed
The Reforming (2nd) Service is in need of Greeters/Ushers for September and beyond. Please contact Bob Peterson or the office if you can assist.
The Garden at the Church
Along with the rain and the beautiful sunshine comes weeds!!! A “weekly weeding” has begun, each Wednesday at 7pm. Grab your hoe and come join the fun.
Rising High School Students
We need your help to redecorate our youth room! Do you like to paint, decorate, or organize? Come and help us on August 20th and 21st when we give our youth room a “fresh coat of paint.” Make sure that Pastor Michael has your contact information (email or texting number) and you will be the first to know.
Dick & Shirley Morris Need Prayers & Support
Shirley is on Hospice Care and is completely bedridden. She usually is in bed by 7pm. Along with our prayers they could use our support by visiting with Dick on Wednesdays or Fridays between 7-8:30pm. If you can help out, please call the Morris household at 336-2922.
Borrowed Items: Anyone who has borrowed items from the church recently, please double-check to see that you have returned them. We are missing a couple of things. Thank you.
