Since 2000, Paul and Christy have been faithfully serving in Bolivia through SIM. Paul serves as the SIM Bolivia Director, where he provides vision and leadership for the mission. He also cares for fellow missionaries, offering pastoral support, and helps guide SIM-founded ministries—such as camps and radio stations—toward long-term sustainability and independence.
Christy is passionate about serving families impacted by disability. She leads a growing disabilities ministry that supports families of children with disabilities, equips teachers and caregivers through training, and partners with local churches to help them better welcome, include, and minister to these families as an integral part of the body of Christ.
Paul and Christy have three adult children. Christy is also the daughter of Leonard Phelps, who served as pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Spirit Lake from 1975–1981.
