Mission is at the very heart of First Presbyterian Church as we attempt to serve Christ. We seek to tell others about Christ and share His love by meeting the spiritual and physical needs of people. We support various ministries by designating thirty-three percent of all church income to mission causes locally, nationally, and globally.
At the present time First Presbyterian Church supports mission workers on five continents and in ten foreign countries. We also have a part in supporting five international and seven national Christian organizations as well as four local outreach groups. Mission trips for youth and adults are supported. Assistance is given for camp scholarships and mission internships.
Church members are encouraged to bring new ideas for mission support to the Missions Committee. We look forward to serving the Lord in many exciting ways as we help to carry out the Great Commission.
We invite you to explore the missionaries that we support, commit to pray for them regularly, and reach out with your support.
