This episode of the Pastor Talk Podcast features the fourth in our our series of Pastors’ reflections on lessons learned during the last year. In this episode, the Pastors explore how social media has shaped our experience of the last year. Regardless of how often you consume social media personally, it has become a powerful cultural force shaping our collective imaginations and transforming many of the “traditional” media companies. This conversation explores how social media can create echo chambers that destroys community and prevents us from challenging our deepest assumptions. To continue to grow as Christian community in our current time requires us to both understand social media and explore how we can use it as a tool for discipleship while avoiding some of the pitfalls it inevitably creates.
All are welcome to join us at 7pm CST on March 7th at https://fpcspiritlake.org/lentendiscussion for a live discussion of this material. The conversation can also be accessed via phone if your internet is not stable by calling (321) 802-1696 PIN: 124 857 158#.
